What Bonbon AI Is

Bonbon.ai is an adult character-chat site with an image generator and a video generator built in. It’s run by Epiclens Technologies S.L., a company registered in Cantabria, Spain, and it’s 18+ only, with an age gate in front of everything. You pay on two levels: a Premium subscription unlocks unlimited messages and the generators, and a token called the Bonbon pays for each image and each video. Premium includes 1,000 Bonbons a month.

The library mixes realistic and anime characters and sorts them with 29 filter tags, from Romantic, Office and Gamer to BDSM, Yandere and Fetish. Each card shows who made the character, how many likes it has and how many messages it has had, which is a quick way to see what people use. The new part sits above all of that.

Scenes: Bonbon’s Take on Candy Shorts

The top row of the home page is now called Scenes, pitched as stories that have already started. Each card is a vertical poster with a title in film-poster lettering (After Party, Were You Peeking?, Stay After Class, Girlfriend for a Week) and a Watch now button. Open one and you get a 30-second intro video in phone format (720Γ—1280), a one-line hook, a short synopsis, a few tags and a Start chat button.

Katja RadiΔ‡ is a good example. She’s 20, a 187cm volleyball player, and her hook is that sober she ignores you and tonight she’s five drinks in. The synopsis adds a rule she never says out loud, that whatever is going on between you only happens when Elsie isn’t in the room, and the tags are Volleyball, Friends with Benefits and Angst. Eight scenes were live when I checked, including 12:41 at the Laundromat, Office Hours with Professor Reed and The Craigslist Roommate.

The format comes from the same place as Candy.ai’s Candy Shorts, which showed that short vertical AI video gets people into a character faster than a profile card does, and Bonbon is right to follow it. The difference is what the video is for. On Candy, an episode is something you watch: Shorts sit apart from the chat and don’t feed into the character’s memory, so you stay in the audience. On Bonbon the 30 seconds is a cold open, and Start chat puts you inside the situation it just set up. Candy has far more to watch, 112 series against 8 scenes. Bonbon has the shorter path from the video to the roleplay.

The Character Creator

If nothing in the library fits, the creator builds a character in six steps: style (Realistic or Anime), ethnicity, body, hair and eyes, personality, and the portrait. The looks steps are the usual tiles: ten hairstyles, six hair textures, three lengths and ten colours. The personality step is where Bonbon differs from most builders.

Instead of one trait you fill three slots that work together: a personality, an occupation and her relationship to you, with optional Hobby and Fetish slots on top. There are 15 personality archetypes, each with a one-line description (Ice Queen, Bratty, Femme Fatale, Yandere, Boss Lady and so on), plus a Custom option. Tsundere on its own is a type. A Tsundere who works as a dominatrix and is your friend with benefits is a person with a job and a history with you, and you get there without writing a prompt.

Advanced Details holds the rest: Autocomplete with AI to fill any empty field, physical details, personality notes, extra notes, location, and the two fields that decide how the first chat goes, First Message and Scene Setting. Both come pre-written. The default scene I got was two people whose paths had crossed before, finally alone with no reason to leave. Rewrite them anyway. The first message sets the register for everything after it, and the scene decides where the story starts.

How the Chat Feels

Replies come back fast and characters hold their voice instead of sliding into the same polite assistant tone. The settings go further than most sites in this category: a model switch between Flash and Pro, a five-step Creativity slider, memory controls that set how long a character remembers (or wipe it), and response formats that add narration, senses and inner thoughts around the dialogue. Narration changes a session the most. With it on, she describes the room and what she’s doing, not only what she says.

The default pace is quick. Characters push the scene forward, which suits you if you want to get somewhere in ten messages and gets in the way if you want a slow build. The tempo comes from the setup more than from the model: a restrained first message and a scene with some distance in it slow things down, and the Creativity slider is worth a few tries.

Images and Video: What Each Costs in Bonbons

The image generator works from presets instead of a blank box. You pick a character, then optional Pose, Outfit and Scene presets, an aspect ratio (7:9, 9:7, 9:16, 16:9 or 1:1), how many images (1, 3, 6 or 9), the quality (Base, High or Best) and Realistic or Anime. A Base-quality image costs 1 Bonbon. Batches of 3 or more and the High and Best settings are Premium-only and cost more per image.

Video takes a text prompt or starts from an image, and an Actions menu holds 29 motion presets, from Dancing, Twerk and a bouncy walk to explicit positions. You choose 5 or 10 seconds and 720p or 1080p. A 5-second clip at 720p costs 50 Bonbons, and Bonbon estimates about a minute of waiting; 10 seconds takes about two. On a free account the 10-second and 1080p options are locked.

On the monthly allowance that works out to 20 five-second clips at 720p, or somewhere between a few hundred and a thousand images depending on quality. Video is where the balance goes. If you mostly want pictures, the price per image is low next to most of the AI girlfriends that send pics.

Bonbon AI Pricing: Premium Plans and Bonbon Packs

Premium is one tier sold in three lengths, and all three include the same set: unlimited messages, image and video generation, publishing your characters, 1,000 Bonbons a month, daily rewards, smarter memory and faster generation.

Plan Per month Billed Bonus
12 months $9.99 $119.94 a year +1,000 Bonbons
3 months $13.99 $41.97 a quarter +300 Bonbons
1 month $19.99 $19.99 a month None

Bonbon marks the 12-month plan as Best Choice, and per month it is the cheapest of the three: half the monthly rate, plus 1,000 bonus Bonbons at the start. The catch is in the banner, which advertises the discount on the first subscription. Bonbon’s terms say a card subscription renews for the same length at the price the plan has at that point, so check the renewal amount in your account before the year runs out.

Bonbon packs are top-ups for when the allowance runs out: 1,000 for $9.99, 2,500 for $19.99, 5,000 for $34.99, 10,000 for $64.99 and 20,000 for $119.99, which brings the rate down to $6 per 1,000. Skip the 1,000 pack. At $9.99 it costs the same as a month of the annual plan, which includes those 1,000 Bonbons and everything else.

You pay by card (Visa or Mastercard), and the Premium page says no adult merchant name appears on your bank statement. The terms also cover crypto payments, which don’t renew automatically, but the checkout I saw only offered card.

Before You Pay: Expiring Bonbons and the 24-Hour Refund

Two rules in the terms are worth knowing before you pay. If you cancel or your Premium ends, the Bonbons left in your account may expire at the end of that billing period, and they don’t come back if you subscribe again later. That covers packs bought separately too, so buy a size you’ll use before the term ends. Refunds are only possible within 24 hours of the first payment, and only if you’ve barely used the account: spend more than 20 of the included Bonbons or send more than a handful of messages and you lose the option. You can cancel any time from Account Settings and keep Premium until the paid term ends.

Is Bonbon AI Free?

You can try it without paying, but the free tier is a test drive: a short message allowance (the terms use five messages as an example) and no Bonbons at signup. Daily Rewards adds a few through daily tasks and a 31-day login streak with a bigger reward at the end, and since a Base image costs 1 Bonbon, those go a little way in the generator. It’s enough to watch the Scenes, build a character and see how she writes, not enough to use Bonbon day to day.

Who Bonbon AI Suits

Bonbon makes sense if you want to build a specific character and control how the first chat starts, or if you liked the idea of Candy Shorts but would rather be in the story than watch it. It makes less sense if voice calls are what you’re after, since voice isn’t on the list of Premium features, or if you want a lot of 10-second video in 1080p, which is where Bonbons go fastest. And if you’re unsure, don’t buy the year on day one, because the refund window is 24 hours. Try the free messages and a Scene first, then pick the 3- or 12-month plan.

Our Verdict on Bonbon.ai

Bonbon.ai takes the idea that made Candy Shorts work, short vertical video as the way in, and uses it as an opener: Scenes give you 30 seconds of setup, then Start chat puts you inside the story. The character creator is the other reason to sign up, because crossing a personality with an occupation and a relationship gets you a specific character without writing a prompt. Bonbons go a long way on images (1 for Base quality) and are fair on video (50 for 5 seconds at 720p). Take the annual plan if you know you'll use it: $119.94 upfront, a 24-hour refund window, and a renewal at whatever the plan costs next year.

Bonbon.ai, Scenes & Bonbons - FAQ

You can try it free, but it's a test drive. Free accounts get a short message allowance before Premium is needed (Bonbon's terms use five messages as the example) and no Bonbons at signup. Daily Rewards adds a few through daily tasks and a 31-day login streak, and a Base-quality image costs 1 Bonbon, so you can test the generator a little. Unlimited messages, 10-second or 1080p video and batches of images need Premium.
Premium is one tier in three lengths: $19.99 for one month, $13.99/month on the 3-month plan ($41.97 billed, +300 bonus Bonbons) and $9.99/month on the 12-month plan ($119.94 billed, +1,000 bonus Bonbons). Every plan includes unlimited messages, image and video generation and 1,000 Bonbons a month. The discount is advertised on the first subscription, and card plans renew at the price the plan has at renewal, so check that amount before the date comes up.
Bonbons are the token you spend on generation. A Base-quality image costs 1 Bonbon; High and Best quality cost more. A 5-second video at 720p costs 50 Bonbons, and the 10-second and 1080p options cost more and need Premium. Premium's 1,000 Bonbons a month cover 20 five-second clips or a few hundred images. Packs run from $9.99 for 1,000 to $119.99 for 20,000.
Scenes are ready-made story setups at the top of the home page. Each one has a poster, a 30-second vertical intro video, a hook, a synopsis and a Start chat button that opens the roleplay where the video leaves off. Eight were live when we checked, such as 12:41 at the Laundromat and Office Hours with Professor Reed. It's the same short-video idea as Candy Shorts on Candy.ai, used as an opener for the chat rather than as episodes you watch.
Yes, in six steps: Realistic or Anime style, ethnicity, body, hair and eyes, personality, and the portrait. The personality step combines one of 15 archetypes (or a custom one) with an occupation and her relationship to you, plus optional hobby and fetish slots. Under Advanced Details you can write the first message and the scene setting yourself, or let Autocomplete with AI fill in the blanks.
They're built for different things. Candy.ai has the bigger video library (112 Candy Shorts series), licensed digital twins of real creators and an annual plan from $3.99/month, but its images cost 2-4 tokens each. Bonbon's Scenes lead straight into a chat, its creator mixes personality, occupation and relationship, and a Base image costs 1 Bonbon, with Premium from $9.99/month on the annual plan. Pick Candy for watching and photo consistency, Bonbon for steering the story yourself.
Bonbon.ai is run by Epiclens Technologies S.L., a company registered in Cantabria, Spain, and it's 18+ with an age gate. You pay by card, and the Premium page says no adult merchant name shows on your bank statement. Conversations are private, and automated filters block content the terms prohibit. As with any AI chat, don't share your real name, address or payment details in a conversation.
They can expire. If you cancel or your Premium ends, the Bonbons left in your account may expire at the end of that billing period, and they aren't restored if you subscribe again. Refunds are only possible within 24 hours of the first payment and only with minimal use: more than 20 of the included Bonbons or more than a few messages rules it out. Bonbon packs follow the same 24-hour rule and can only be refunded on card payments.
From Account Settings, at any time. You keep Premium until the end of the term you paid for, then the account goes back to free. Card subscriptions renew automatically for the same length until you cancel; crypto payments, where offered, don't renew. Cancel before the renewal date, and spend your Bonbons first, since leftovers may expire.
